Keeping The Confessions II Era Alive
Following the recent pop star trend of releasing new editions of an album with countless bonus tracks for fans to enjoy, Madonna continues to promote her recent album “Confessions II” (2026): a follow-up to her 2005 hit album “Confessions on a Dance Floor”. With it has come a number of additional collaborations following the album edition “Confessions II (Afterhours Edition)” (2026). The Afterhours edition of Confessions II contains remixes from electronic dance artists such as Peggy Gou and Salute, but the collaborations seemingly have not ended there.

When Two Icons Collide
On August 6th 2026, Madonna released Love Sensation featuring Kylie Minogue, a rework of the Confessions II single switching up the production to include elements of funky and progressive house. Next up came a version of her new song Danceteria featuring tech house producer Harry Romeo. Most recently, an additional spin on Danceteria was released featuring Charli XCX of Brat (2024) fame, transforming the song yet again into a french and diva house anthem. The release of this single follows a recent interaction between the two, with Madonna responding to Charli XCX’s “Rock Music” line “I think the dancefloor is dead/So now we’re making rock music” with “If your Dance floor feels dead, maybe you’re playing the wrong music. Danceteria Afterhour’s release has both satisfied and reassured fans that the exchange between the two did not harm their relationship.
